OMG!Con Covid-19 Policy for 2023

Based on the current situation, we are recommending that all attendees wear masks if able, but they will NOT be required for general attendance to the convention this year.

However, we are allowing our special guests and panelists to choose whether their specific panels or events are mask-required or mask-optional. If a guest or panelist chooses to require masks, it will be noted in the program guide, and we are planning to have signage by the panel room/event doors as well. We may have a limited number of masks available, but you are responsible for bringing a mask if you wish to attend a mask-required panel or event.

Whatever your choice, we ask you to please be courteous to those who have made the opposite choice. For example, if you choose not to wear a mask, please try to provide those wearing masks sufficient social distancing space for them to be comfortable. It's not always going to be possible (especially in the more crowded areas), but just do the best you can.

While we hope that all attendees who are eligible would have gotten their vaccines plus any applicable boosters, we will also not be requiring proof of vaccination and/or boosters to attend.  Having a fully volunteer staff with limited training, combined with fake vaccine cards being sold online, has made it near impossible to accurately verify this information for an event like OMG!Con.

Finally, if you are feeling sick, showing symptoms of COVID-19, or have tested positive within a week of OMG!Con, please stay home.  If you pre-registered, then please reach out to us and we will be happy to transfer your ticket over to 2024.

We do not anticipate this policy changing before the convention. However, as a matter of precaution, we reserve the right to change it if things start to crash down around us and a new strain of COVID begins to pose a more substantial risk.
