With the Pandemic largely behind us, we will not be requiring masks for 2024.
That said, we understand that some may still feel vulnerable and may wish to continue to mask up. We respect those choices and encourage all attendees to respect all the choices and boundaries people have made for themselves.
We ask you to please be courteous to those who have made the opposite choice. For example, if you choose not to wear a mask, please try to provide those wearing masks sufficient social distancing space for them to be comfortable. It's not always going to be possible (especially in the more crowded areas), but just do the best you can.
While we hope that all attendees who are eligible would have gotten their vaccines plus any applicable boosters, we will also not be requiring proof of vaccination and/or boosters to attend. Having a fully volunteer staff with limited training, combined with fake vaccine cards being sold online, has made it near impossible to accurately verify this information for an event like OMG!Con.
Finally, if you are feeling sick, showing symptoms of COVID-19, or have tested positive within a week of OMG!Con, please stay home. If you pre-registered, then please reach out to us and we will be happy to transfer your ticket over to 2025.
We do not anticipate this policy changing before the convention. However, as a matter of precaution, we reserve the right to change it if things start to crash down around us and a new strain of COVID begins to pose a more substantial risk.
