Come sing your lungs out at our karaoke event! Sing anime openings, or asian pop songs! We will provide some music on spot, but if you have a specific song you'd like to sing make sure to bring it on a music CD so you can show everyone your skills! Mock Combat for Cosplay w/Christopher Ayres
Do you want to give your cosplay scene a little something extra? Ever wanted to look like you are beating the life out of your friends and be able to do it in a safe way so that no one gets hurt? Come join Voice Actor, ADR director and Veteran fight director, Christopher Ayres for this on your feet workshop where you will learn tricks and techniques to add to your cosplay. This workshop is not only for cosplayers, but for anyone interested in learning the basics of stage combat.

Uncensored Panel
Join Chris, Greg Bob and Emily for a look at the good the bad the ugly (and sometimes the VERY Ugly) from inside the industry. There will be some amazing stories that will shock, amuse and possibly distrub some of you. *Because of the nature of this event, we ask that no cameras or recording devices be used, and also that all attendees for this event be 17+.*

This panel discusses the anime artform with the uninitiated in mind. Topics include deciphering the Japanese elements common in anime, discussing different genres, recommendations for the unfamiliar (If you like West Wing, you'll love this series) and examining major themes. Often included is also a brief history of the genre as well as a general overview of some of the major names in the industry.

This panel will discuss actual US-created shows, comics, and other mediums that have showcased the anime style. A short time will be spent on defining anime-influenced versus anime-style, but the majority of the panel will be a timeline of US-created anime.

Music in Anime w/Robert Aldrich
Music plays a prominent role in many anime, from the founding sci-fi series to the modern infatuation with pop idols. Most anime involve some form of dance number while the opening and closing songs have given rise to the careers of some of Japan's biggest music sensations. This panel will discuss the history and nature of music in anime.

The Worlds of Robert V Aldrich (novels and serials)
The granddaddy of all RVA panels, this panel is meant as a crash course in the assorted worlds. Each story, both novels and serials, is addressed briefly, while anime literature and modern, alternative methods of publishing are touched upon.

Different Sides of the Same Coin: The Relationship between Video Games and Anime w/Robert Aldrich
This panel will discuss the mutual connection between these two innovative and unique mediums. Issues such as why these two mediums (more than any others) seem to be so closely connected, series and stories that are pushing the boundaries of this relationship, and even discuss some series where the division between the two is almost non-existant. Other topics will include the relationship in Japan versus in the United States, the role of parent companies, and series for one medium created with the other in mind.
