Why have I waited so long to watch this anime?
There are a lot of great references in it,
Some that I noticed:
EP14 there is a Nabeshin doll in the bedroom
EP20 the flagship of the Good Luck Fleet is called unko(PG-13 translation is poop)
As well I can sing the English version of the OP for memory, which is sad yet awesome at the same time.

All the times I have watched this, I have never noticed the fact that there was a Nabeshin doll there...and I watched all of Excel Saga over and over again. (And survived mentally somehow; even on ep 26.)

Actually if you watch Nabeshin is in there 3 times. Once as a GP Bridge Officer, Once as the Doll and The other as a Pirate. I personally love this Anime but I never understood why the ending of the second half had Mitoto naked, because she was never one of Sena's Girls. Also NB got ANNOYING!

Dear god. And I never noticed this HOW? xD I must have been burned out on Excel Saga so much that I failed to see the references. There is also a Lord Illpalazzo figurine in Episode 17 >.>
